
Sentinel Net Lease is a real estate investment firm founded in 2019 that is focused on acquiring commercial real estate investments that either produce monthly cash-flow or possess significant profit potential through renovation and leasing. These assets are expected to be resistant to certain market disruptions while offering potential out-sized returns for investors. Management targets opportunistic situations that may not be a fit for traditional REITs due to size or transaction complexity, utilizing its extensive experience to understand each property’s narrative to create real value for investors.

Fred Lewis
Fred Lewis serves as Sentinel’s Chief Executive Officer and provides strategic guidance and oversight regarding the firm’s mission with a focus on capital relationships and building out the platform. A serial entrepreneur, he founded the Dominion Group in 2002, a vertically integrated real estate platform comprised of nine operating companies and five business segments that have investments in residential real estate, commercial net lease assets, private lending, property management, and insurance. The Dominion Group of companies have acquired or financed over 6,000 real estate assets valued at over $1.8 Billion.
Fred is also the founder of RMN Investment Holdings and Hill Crest Investments which primarily invest in alternative investments including construction loans, ground rents, GP/LP investments, and net lease assets.
Fred is a Director on the Bank Board of Capital Bank of Maryland, the Chair of their Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO), and a member of their Board Loan and Finance Committees. He has also served on the Board of Synagogue B’nai Shalom of Olney in Maryland for over 12 years and is its current President and Chairman of the Board for the past three years. Fred is a graduate of the George Washington University in DC with a B.A. degree in Business Finance.

Dennis Cisterna
Dennis Cisterna serves as Sentinel’s Chief Investment Officer and guides the firm’s investment strategy and growth. One of the most well-known executives in the real estate investment sector, he has completed more than $3.7 billion worth of real estate transactions across the U.S. and Europe. He previously served as the CEO of Investability Solutions, a vertically integrated service provider to institutional real estate investors. Prior to that, Dennis served as Managing Director of FirstKey Lending, a portfolio company of Cerberus Capital Management. Over his 20-year career, Dennis has held a wide variety of management positions within the real estate investment and development sectors including key roles at notable firms such as Johnson Capital, Lennar, and Toll Brothers.
He currently serves or has served as a member of NAIOP, ICSC, the National Rental Home Council, ULI, the National Association of Home Builders, and the National Multi-Housing Council. A requested speaker at economic and real estate conferences across the nation, Dennis has given his investment insights to tens of thousands of investors over the past several years and is regularly cited in the media as one of the foremost real estate experts in the United States. He has served as a monthly contributor for U.S. News & World Report and Builder & Developer and previously hosted The Investability Podcast. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in California and has a B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University.

Andrew Broeren
Andrew Broeren serves as Sentinel’s Chief Operations Officer and oversees the firm’s transaction structuring & execution, operations, and investor communication. Andrew has vast knowledge and experience in the real estate sector. He served as the Head of Structured Finance for Southern Europe at HSBC Bank in London, covering origination and structuring for all asset classes in the regions, including mortgage-backed securities. Most notable Andrew structured and executed the single largest fully funded collateralized loan obligation securitization to date from HSBC’s corporate balance sheet – equivalent to £2 billion of corporate debt.
Andrew moved to the USA in 2008 where he founded Knightsbridge Capital Ventures which primarily invests in alternative assets or companies with a real estate operation. Several of those companies focused on the purchase of undervalued residential properties, renovation and sale to investors for high yield returns. Overseas capital investment was the main source of funding for over 400 high-yield property investments across several US states. Prior to HSBC, Andrew was an Associate Director at Standard & Poor’s Rating Agency in both Melbourne and London where he gained extensive experience in credit analysis, property valuation and risk management. Andrew is a qualified lawyer and previously practiced Corporate & Insolvency Law, having received degrees in both Law and Economics from Monash University, and a Gradual Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from The Securities Institute of Australia. He is an admitted member of the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia.

Daniel Hillman
Daniel Hillman serves as Vice President of Research for Sentinel. He has more than fifteen years of experience in finance and investment management, working for notable firms such as UBS, Stanford Capital Management, and Prima Capital. As SVP of Research, Daniel is responsible for overseeing market and project level due diligence for all investment opportunities at Sentinel. Daniel utilizes a proprietary process to collect and interpret a variety of macroeconomic, local market, and policy data to guide the investment decision making process. He also is an expert in building efficiency and renewable energy from his time working as a policy researcher in the public sector at the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Daniel graduated with a Master in Applied Science from the University of Denver and received a B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University.

Benjamin Black
Ben Black serves as Vice President of Asset Management for Sentinel. He is responsible for managing the existing portfolio, driving financial performance, and implementing property-level asset management plans. Ben has ten years of experience in the real estate industry working for owners and developers on a variety of office, retail, and residential assets. His experience includes development, commercial leasing, portfolio management, acquisitions, refinances, dispositions, capital markets, and investor relations.
Prior to Sentinel, Ben was the Managing Director of Asset Management at Dalan Management, a New York City based owner-operator. He began his real estate career on the development team at Janus Property Company where he worked on the redevelopment of the Manhattanville Factory District located in Manhattan. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Technology Management from the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University.

Laura Nguyen
Laura Nguyen is Sentinel’s Director of Marketing and Investor Relations. With more than 15 years of experience in real estate investment, she has deep experience in executive-level portfolio management, debt and capital market decision management, risk mitigation, due diligence, investor relations, and financial reporting. Mrs. Nguyen previously served as Corporate Secretary and Director of Investor Relations of Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust where she served on the executive team that acquired and managed income-producing retail properties. Laura began her real estate career at Gold Key PHR Hotels & Resorts, where she worked closely with the CEO and management team that on a variety of residential and commercial developments.
As an active leader in the real estate industry, Laura is the 2022 President of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network’s Coastal Virginia chapter and serves on CREW Network’s global industry research committee. Laura is a graduate of the class of 2022 CIVIC Leadership Institute. Laura earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Old Dominion University.
